Who we are

Statuslab (“we”, “us”) provides uptime monitoring, alerting, incident management, and public status pages. This policy explains what information we process when you visit our website, create an account, or use the product.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Statuslab, we may process:

  • Account data — name, email, authentication details, and workspace membership.
  • Billing data — plan, usage limits, and payment details handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Configuration & monitoring data — monitors, components, incidents, maintenance windows, status page settings, and related check results needed to run the service.
  • Subscriber data — email or channel addresses you add for status page notifications.
  • Usage & technical data — product events, IP addresses, browser or device information, and logs used for security and reliability.

How we use information

We use personal and account data to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Statuslab platform
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts and workspaces
  • Process subscriptions, invoices, and plan entitlements
  • Send product, security, and billing communications
  • Detect abuse, investigate incidents, and meet legal obligations

We do not sell personal information. Marketing emails, when sent, include an unsubscribe option.

Sharing

We share data with service providers who help us run Statuslab (for example hosting, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing), under contractual obligations to protect it. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Statuslab and our users.

Retention

We retain account and service data for as long as your workspace is active and as needed to provide the product, meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Monitoring and status history may be retained according to product defaults or your plan. Contact us if you need a custom retention or deletion schedule.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the service, including transport encryption in production and access controls for operator accounts. See our Security page for a summary of current practices. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your choices

Depending on your location and role, you may be able to:

  • Access or update account profile details in the dashboard
  • Ask a workspace admin to remove or export project data
  • Request deletion of your account, subject to legal retention needs
  • Unsubscribe from non-essential marketing email

Enterprise customers can request a DPA or regional processing terms through their account team.

International transfers

Statuslab may process data in regions where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers. Deployment and residency options depend on your contract and environment.

Children

Statuslab is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, when changes are material, provide additional notice through the product or email when appropriate.

Questions about privacy or data processing can be raised through your Statuslab account team, or via the contact path shared during onboarding. For security vulnerabilities, follow the responsible disclosure process described on Security.
